IMPORTANT NOTICE TO YAHOO GROUP USERS Your Online Actions Are Being Recorded by Yahoo (As of 12/01/2005)
If you belong to any Yahoo Groups there is important information in changes to Yahoo's Privacy policy that they have not notified their users about. Yahoo is now using "Web Beacons" to track Yahoo Group users around the
net and see what users are doing and where they are going.
Web Beacons is similar to cookies and all Yahoo user actions are now being recorded. Information about every website and every group users visits is being collected and identified with individual users (view Yahoo's updated Privacy Statement).
You can opt out of this "research" but you have to specifically request to be opted out. If you do not want Yahoo tracking and recording and reporting your online activities go to their Privacy Statement and:
1. About half-way down the page, in the
section on "Cookies," find and click on the words "Web Beacons."
2. You will be directed to a new page. Locate the paragraph "Outside the Yahoo Network." In this section you'll see a little "click here to opt out" link that will let you "opt-out" of their new method of snooping.
3. This will only remove your from their "research" Web Beacons on the computer you did this from AND only from the browser you used. In other words, if you use AOL and Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer, or any other browser, you have to opt out of each and every one individually -- on all your computers once by one. Wasn't that nice of Yahoo?
We don't track any information about our site visitors! Read IOH Privacy Statement
