Hock's offers 30-50% discounted prices on diabetes supplies. We cannot specifically recommend or endorse any company but we have been listing Hock's in our resource directory for over a year as one of the two cheapest online companies to purchase from. We recently affiliated with Hock's because our own experience with them has been so positive. If you do place an order through our site, they will contribute financially towards our cause and you will get reasonable prices for diabetes supplies. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families - The purpose of the TANF program is to provide temporary assistance for the care of dependent children in their own homes or the homes of relatives by furnishing financial, medical and self-sufficiency services. Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families - The Tribe’s service area population will include eligible enrolled Washoe Tribal member families residing in the approved areas. There will be a caseload transition of eligible tribal TANF recipients, currently participating in the State’s TANF program, to the Washoe Tribe’s TTANF program, if they so desire. Energy Assistance Program - Unlike some Federal programs, applications, eligibility rules, types of assistance, and benefit levels can vary greatly among LIHEAP programs. Nevada Division of Insurance - (888) 872-3234 (toll-free), (775) 687-4270 (Carson City) or (702) 486-4007 (Las Vegas) . In Nevada, state law allows health insurance companies to turn people down for individual health insurance coverage based on the status of their health. In most cases, diabetes is considered an “uninsurable” condition. Even though you can be turned down for an individual policy in Nevada, you can never be turned down for health insurance that is offered through an employer. If you are having a problem with your state-regulated health plan and you are unable to resolve it with the plan directly, file a complaint with the Division of Insurance. They may be able to provide you with assistance in reaching a conclusion. Nevada Medicaid - (775) 684-0500 Nevada Check-Up - State Children’s Health Insurance Program - (800) 360-6044
