Alabama Health Insurance Plan (AHIP) - Phone 1-877-513-1384 or 334-833-5900
AHIP is a state-run, high-risk insurance pool for those who may otherwise be considered "uninsurable" for an individual policy due to a medical condition. However, unlike many other states which offer high risk pools to all qualifying residents, in Alabama you must be HIPPA eligible to apply to the AHIP.

Alabama Family Assistance - The Family Assistance Program provides financial assistance to meet basic needs for families with a dependent child under age 18 or age 19 if s/he is a full time student in a secondary school or in the equivalent level of vocational or technical training. Income requirements and other restrictions apply.
