Report Discrimination in Schools and Child Care Facilities to Islets of Hope If your child is being discriminated against in a day care or school environment, please, take time to contact us and let us know. We report, by name, on our website schools and child care centers that are in violation of the law or providing substandard care to children with diabetes. We also report on those that are diabetes-friendly. We are interested in hearing about schools that refuse to give Section 504 Plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to children, as well as those who provide little, or substandard care. You can also send us information about schools who are doing a great job caring for students with diabetes. Parents often look for school information on the web and it is helpful to others if you take the time to share positive as well as negative school experiences. Email us at editor@isletsofhope.com. | |||||||||
